Knowing they needed to cross the sea of muck, the heroes elected to use their boots of leaping(how convenient). As they quickly spread out, a huge, undead, black dragon erupted out of the muck and attacked. As everyone quickly engaged the creature from their locations, four Half Dragon creatures also rose from the muck, attacking from different points around the map and creating a headache for the heroes.
Rudy saw an opening and attempted to leap onto the dragons back. As he landed, the dragon invoked his cloud of darkness, blinding everyone. A couple rounds later, the dragon, badly damaged, submerged itself, retreating from battle, only to arise later, jumping out of the muck and landing on Leenia. Alexander managed to avoid the attack and offer Leenia assistance.
Off to the side, Kuppies had managed to avoid the cloud of darkness, but had his hands full with the half dragon creatures.
In the end, the heroes were victorious and continued on.
