An Old Fashoined Dungeon Crawl

Descending into the caves beneath the ruined demonic temple, the party continued to search for Varis. They were immediately confronted by 3 solders insisting they turn back. Stubborn as ever, the party refused and were surprised when 2 archers appeared from under the stairs. After a brief battle, the party had several tunnels from which to choose.

Heading south, they encountered a pit trap, lept over some barrels and found a spiked pit trap. To make matters worse, 2 more artillery based humans attacked. Defeating them, the party cautiously advanced into a larger chamber where they encountered additional soldiers. After defeating them, they fortified their position and took 5.

Heading out again, Rudy crept through several more corridors/chambers and found little. Opening a loose crate, a living cloudkill erupted and pressed the party for several minutes before being dispatched.
