Globes of Silver

Continuing down the hallway, the party skipped a left hand turn and proceeded a little farther down the hall to a right hand turn. A short distance after that, several steps rose out of the muck to a large wooden door. Cautiously opening it, the Heroes entered a room with 9 silver globes suspended from the ceiling. Once everyone was in the room, the door slammed shut and magically locked.

Realizing that a key might be in one of the globes, Leenia began her Hand of Fate ritual and discovered the hand believed the key was in globe 8. Investigating it further, Rudy climbed on Ekeraath’s shoulders and attempted to see if the top of the globe was also sealed. It was and when he attempted to climb on, it shattered, releasing a key and a ring. The ring promised to be a ring of invisibility and would grant one wish a year, at the cost of one HP a year. In the end, the ring turned out to be a red herring, designed to test the loyalty of the party to each other and it turned to dust when they exited the room.

Breaking the rest of the globes, numerous potions and keys fell to the ground. In the end, all the keys, except the one in globe 8 were fakes. The potions all randomly(die roll) provided permanent gains or losses. Kuppies and Leenia opted to not tempt fate and did not drink any of the potions. The results of drinking are as follows:

Red Potion +1/-1 to Initiative
Rudy -1, Rudy +1, Alex +1

Blue Potion +1/-1 to Will
Ek -1, Ek +1, Alex +1

Orange Potion +1/-1 to Fortitude

Green Potion +2/-2 to Hit Points
