An Army of Undead

Following Simon up the stairs, the Heroes found themselves in another massive room. This one containing a small army of zombies and 2 Undead Beholders. Recklessly leaping to the front of the pack, Leenia used her ability to turn undead and ended up destroying close to 10 of them. Ekeraath and Alexander both used whirlwind of death and Kuppies used one of his large burst/blast powers, laying low many more of the zombie minions. With most of them out of the way, the party focused on the Undead beholders.

The creatures managed to find spaces that made flanking difficult, but the party did finally maneuver into position and quickly dispatched the soulless abominations. Even when the first one rose again, they were not surprised and returned it to the ground 2 rounds later. The second one was completely destroyed before it could rise again.

A great item was found on one of the corpes…Veterans Leather Armor +3.

Initially I had considered filling the whole room with minions, but that proved difficult at the map wasn’t that easy to read and I think it would have just prolonged combat. In the end, I think everyone enjoyed pummeling the zombies and padding their stats for the session.
