Entering the large welcome chamber of the manor, the party was attacked by several undead dragonborn and elves. The chamber itself had a massive, split staircase in the center and a long balcony along the top, where the undead, elven archers were stationed.
On the floor, dragonborn specters and undead gladiators threatened them. Diving into melee, the party was careful to avoid several obvious traps and hazards as they pummeled the melee creatures.
With most of the ground floor creatures dealt with, Ekeraath and Alexander headed up the stairs to deal with the elves. Heading in opposite directions, Ekeraath was able to quickly engage the elf he was following. Unfortunately for Alexander, he was knocked prone and as the elf moved in to finish him, Kuppies phase stepped between them, saving the warlord to fight another day.
With the last of the elves dispatched, the party examined the paintings that lined the wall along the balcony. The last picture was badly damaged and the image could not be made out, but the name was still engraved underneath it. Nimos...another missed clue. Rearranging the letters of this name would give you Simon!
