Exploring the 2nd level of the castle, the party found the room the drow was staying in as well as a fully outfitted lab for the creation/modification of magic items. The final room they entered contained a small journal, apparently left for them by Melech. Encoded within was the ritual to use the teleportation circles located throughout the world. All the party needed to do to go someplace was know the coordinates of the circle at that location. An exceptionally valuable find!
Ascending to the third level of the castle, the party found themselves on a checkered floor with three members of the Cult of the Infernal Fang on the far side. Quickly figuring out that your movements had to mimic that of the piece that corresponded to the first square you touched, the part was able to pin down and kill each of the cultists. Knowing their prey was near, despite their exhaustion, they pressed on.
Crashing into the next room, they found it to be the living quarters of the guards. There was little of note with the exception of a banner hanging on the wall that radiated magic. After a cursory inspection by Kuppies, it was determined to be a magical battle standard that when in use, granted additional healing benefits.
