Chasing the Enemy

After finishing the rabble Damakos left behind, the heroes proceeded to the hallway with the pit trap Rudy had already fallen in. Carefully working their way around it, they were confronted with 2 chasms that crossed their path.

The first one, emitted a purple light. After some brief discussion, Rudy, Ekeraath, and Alexander threw caution to the wind and lept across. Must to their disappointment, they all got -1 to it and on saving throws in their next encounter.

With the purple one behind, they confronted the blue one. Once again, the desire to face Damakos threw caution to the wind and they again, threw themselves across. This time, receiving -2 on all damage rolls in their next encounter.

After watching this for a little while, Leenia went back into Damakos' room and removed a shelf from the bookcase. Placing it over the light, she crossed each of the chasms without effect. Kuppies and Mara were happy to trail behind.

With that out of the way, they headed up the stairs, hoping to catch up with their most despised foe.
