The Cemetery

Arriving at the cemetery, there was a darkness that pervaded the area, limiting how much of it they could see. Bravely moving forward, a lone figure was observed standing outside the chapel. As the party engaged it, numerous zombie minions rose from the ground all around the party.

In a display never before rivaled, the party opened up a can of whoop ass on the lone figure, a Wrathborn, dishing out 100 hit points of damage in one round. With the minions entering melee range, a serious problem was discovered when the party learned they explode when hit.

With the start of the next round, a massive creature erupted from the ground behind them, a Bone Mongrel Dracolich. Fortunately, the party managed to finish off the Wrathborn during this round, clearing the way for Leenia to race into the chapel and begin the ritual. With Rudy right behind her to protect her, she began.

Outside the chapel, things grew grave as the dracolich hit Ekeraath critically dealing 30 points of damage with it's breath weapon. On the upside, Kuppies and Mara's ranged attacks took out many of the remaining minions, using their exploding death against themselves.

Back in the chapel, Leenia, deep in concentration, continued the ritual. Rudy, having successfully jammed 2 of the entrance doors, moved back to the main one to see if he could aid against the dragon.

Realizing that something important was going on in the chapel, the dragon launched itself into the air, taking several opportunity attacks, it landed right in front of the door to the chapel. Turning it's macabre head, it breathed it's bone shard breath directly into the chapel at Leenia. Fortunately for her, his aim was off and she was not hit by the shards.

Finishing the dragon off in the next round, Leenia was able to complete the rest of the ritual, sanctifying the cemetery and destroying all undead inside.
