This is the information you have gathered so far. Rudy will certainly gain more based on his activities.
As stated before, Trelib is the largest city any of you have ever seen. Like many cities, it has several sections, often referred to as quarters.
The first quarter is referred to as the docks. It obviously includes the docks. It also includes most of the manufacturing facilities, from black smiths to tailors. Most of the raw materials come in via sea, so it is a natural connection. This is the east section of the city.
To the south is the next quarter, the residences. This is pretty self evident. The common people live here in varying degrees of wealth/poverty.
To the north of the docs, backed by a small mountain is the third quarter which contains the palace and the other noble residences. Several of the more prosperous merchants also live here. The small mountain helps to temper the climate and as such this area is the most comfortable in the city.
Finally, to the west of the docks is the bazaar. This is also the main entrance to the city. The main thoroughfare cuts almost straight through to the docks. The streets are lined with stores and merchants hawking their wares. This opens out onto the vast field that the army is encamped on.
In the center of the city is a massive cathedral that houses spaces for all good and neutral religions. There is a large open area for preaching and the occasional royal address.
Rard's family has ruled Trelib for several hundred years. They are well respected and liked by the people. Fair and hard working, they are no different than most of the other people in town.
The royal family consists of King Richard who inherited the throne from his father 20 years ago. Richard has done much to protect this island and those surrounding it. Your recent restoration of the Citadel has gained him exceptional political clout since he can now focus on something other than defence. You have already met Richard's oldest son, Rard. Very much a clone of his father, he is down to earth and well liked by the people. Rard has a younger sister, Sara, but she is rarely seen in public. Years ago, she witnessed her mother killed and other brother, Robert captured, beaten, and taken away as a slave by hobgoblins. Her sanity has never recovered. Robert is believed dead.
There are 4 noble houses of note.
The Atnas house is led by Liam, a loyal follower and believer in Richard. His wife, Beatrice, is widely believed to be critical of Richard, but does not publicly denounce or question him. They are the oldest house, going back to before the darkness. Rard's friend and advisor Michael is a member of this house.
The Prifer house is led by the matron Ariana. They have been a thorn in the side of Richard's family for several generations. Originally gaining power through their merchant activities, it is widely believed they are secretly dark sorcerers or worship evil deities. No proof has ever been found.
The Surin house is led by Paul. He is Richard's most trusted advisor and not a Surin. Twelve years ago, Neil was the leader of the house and had no heir. As his health deteriorated, Richard approached him and asked that he accept Paul as the son he never had. Neil agreed and Paul was soon the leader of the Surin house. Not everyone was happy with the situation, but Paul was a great general and trainer. Well respected by all who served under him, he has taken over the leadership of the house and done an admirable job.
The final house is led by Plato. Many consider him a rogue and believe he heads up the local thieves guide. There is no proof, but no one knows where his money comes from or why his advisors constantly change. He keeps questionable company and is often seen in the seedier parts of the city with even seedier people. He seems to have access to all manner of things and is the man to go to should you need something difficult to obtain. The amount of information he has access to is truly impressive.
