Into the belly of the beast

Stepping through the portal in the hatchery, the heroes were whisked away to Sussurus, Vlaakith's palace in Tun'narath. Arriving on the far side of the portal, their senses were immediately buffeted by the Whisper's of the Damned, resulting in a -2 penalty for Alexander, Kuppies, and Leenia, who were unable to withstand the mental onslaught of the whispers.

They were greeted by 3 guards...1 Duthka'gith and 2 Githyanki knights. As usual, Rudy was the first to act and fell upon the Duthka'gith with a vengeance the creature could not hope to withstand for more than a round or 2. The knights immediately knew they were outmatched and focused on sounding the alarm. Quickly realizing the goal of the knights, the heroes deftly adjusted their tactics and despite Ekeraath being knocked prone and Rudy pushed into a dimensional pocket, they held the line. Alexander was able to utilize a power that knocked the enemies prone and Kuppies followed up with a thunderwave, pushing one of the poor knights right next to a returning Rudy.

Ekeraath, not wanting to be ineffective, shed his shield and hammer, diving onto the other knight and choking him to death...Kudos to Adam for going outside the box and NOT using a power.

The knight that was engaged by Rudy was quickly overcome by the dagger skills of the rogue. However, Alexander was able to get Rudy's attention and keep the creature alive for an interrogation.
