Surpises Abound

With the fighting over, Alexander would still not trust the vampires and Leenia still considered them creatures of darkness. However, the party needed to rest and Milosh was more than hospitable.

During the night, Alec visited Alexander in a dream giving him details as to the location of Varis, the person they had rescued from Simon, but had apparently turned evil. Alec would not be able to reach him for months and hoped Alexander could get their quicker...little did he know of the surprise Kuppies would have for them the next day.

As the heroes gathered in the courtyard, Kuppies called them close and as he spoke, a ship began to rise up behind him, first obscured by the mountain, then rising up over their heads, Kuppies explained he now had the ability to not only call their boat to them by sea, he also had the ability to make it fly. Taking to the air, the party departed in search of Ekul, Varis' hiding place.

As the day wore on, a small dot appeared to be following them. As it got closer, they were able to identify it as a Chaos Hydra. Once Kuppies realize that, he remembered that a Chaos Hydra could only be created through a vile ritual that required a Platinum Dragon egg as a component. The egg the sahuagin had stolen all those months ago had come back to haunt them. Kuppies had the best line when he said something along the lines of "It is an evil we are responsible for the creation of."
