Providing Proof

After defeating the Evil Necromancer Simon, the heroes had some difficult decisions to make. Having used most, if not all of their powers and healing, they were at a crossroads. Press on and return to the Dragonborn and Elves, hopefully to avert a war, or rest knowing they would probably be too late to prevent the opening battle.

A quick discussion found the majority wished to press on, and return as soon as possible, to try to stop the war from starting. Knowing they needed proof, numerous ideas and thoughts were presented, yet all of them could be easily dismissed as fabricated. If only there was a way to speak with the dead.

Looking for divine inspiration and assistance, Leenia invoked the Hand of Fate ritual. Her first question led everyone to believe Leenia has something in her possession that would help solve this dilemma. Moving on, she dumped everything she had on the floor and once again asked the hand for assistance in located what could help. Moving ever so slowly, the hand pointed to her ritual book. Reading through it, she realized that Morbius has provided them with the means to provide proof.

Allowing Varis to chop off Simon's head, the party took it with them, along with one dragonborn and one elven head as proof they has been transformed into undead.

With that, they began their descent to the Arrival Room and the teleportation circle out of the tower.
