Lycanthropes!

Pressing on, the party spent the better part of the day following an old animal trail, eventually finding an ancient shrine to Sehanine.

The shrine had been desecrated by a tribe of lycanthropes, who had set up a fairly large camp there. Seeing the party, the few that were in camp attacked.

A weretiger, wereboar, 2 werewolves, and 2 wererats all attacked the party. Once again, Ekeraath tried to throw himself into danger, keeping several of them busy, while the party focused on the others. Unfortunately, once again, the party ignored his commands and dove in head long.

Rudy and Mara kept to the perimeter, racking up kills, while Ekeraath, Alexander, and Kuppies engaged the weretiger, wereboar, and a couple others in the center of the shrine. Leenia kept within range, offering healing and ranged attacks when needed.

With the creatures slain, Leenia approached the shrine and began to pray. Much to everyone's surprise, a large block, in the center of the shrine, slid to the side, revealing a cobweb filled staircase descending into darkness.
