Before the party could truly rejoice in the slaying of Damakos, an urgent summons was made over the rock phone. Alek could see General Karag approaching from the north and knew if he entered the city, all would be lost. He screamed for everyone to join them at the northern wall.
Kriv and his dragonborn rushed to the wall, hoping to make it in time to meet Karag's forces on the battlefield. But it became evident his forces wouldn't make it in time. Knowing it would almost certainly kill him, Alek rushed into a decrepit tower next to the gate and collapsed it, burying him under the rubble and blocking off the gate.
By the time the party arrived at the top of the wall, Karag had approached and demanded their surrender. As the party parlayed with the general, Harbek informed them his men needed 10 minutes to get into a flanking position against the General's forces. Knowing how important flanking it, everyone in the party participated in a skill challenge and easily stalled Karag until the dwarves attacked.
As the chaos began, Ekeraath drew back the lightening bow he had been given by Mara and let loose a bolt of lightening, hitting Karag square in the chest and exploding lightening 10 feet around him. With that, everyone rushed into combat.
Quickly surrounding Karag and eliminating the forces around him, the party was able to defeat him. With that and the massive loses inflicted by Harbek and Kriv's forces, the remnants of the army broke and ran.
