The Lost Secrets Library

Utilizing the crystal to guide them through the maze of rooms, hallways, intersections, and stairwells, the party finally descended into a moderately sized, barely used room. Several bookcases created aisles and the party set to work looking for the book.

Before they realized it, 3 poltergeists attacked, pushing the bookcases onto the heroes and generally causing them grief. Many a Ghostbusters joke was made, because lets face it, ghosts in a library...

Quickly engaging them, Leenia used her turning ability. The results of this are still up for debate, because while it did damage them, the party had to spend sometime catching up with them as they were now pushed around the room. Once caught, the poltergeists were of little challenge.

Returning to their search, a skill challenge was initiated. The party needed 4 successes.
1. Find the book.
2. Unseal the door.
3. Find their way to the exit.
4. Convince the library to let them leave.
They completed this easily and escaped the library.

As another side note. This could have worked better and I think a lot of it is my fault. For example, to find the book, Kuppies made a History check. This allowed him to determine how the library was laid out and determine where the book was. After a hint from me, he just made the check. Jeff should have said, "I make a history check to determine if I can figure out how the library is laid out" This would have added much more flavor to the challenge. I will endeavor to do better next time.
