Arriving at the bottom of the final set of stairs, torches that lined the perimeter of the room exploded in a burst of light. They illuminated the only fixture in the room, another brain floating in a jar of fluid. Looking at it, the party did not feel the revulsion that Morbius’ brain had. Instead, it gave off a very calm, patient aura. As the party's eyes adjusted to the sudden blast of brightness from the torches, they could hear it projecting into your mind “Welcome. I am a Sentinel.”
The following information was gleaned from the Sentinel:
What is a Sentinel? In a time before recorded history, the most powerful mages in the land gathered together and created the Sentinels. We are the recorders of history. There are many of us scattered throughout the world, each responsible for a small area. All but forgotten, except for the oldest of legends, we have held an unseen vigil, recording history in our local area.
We are not permitted to give information that would allow one group to have an advantage over another. History must play out without our interference.
Damakos was searching for the rod that is now in the possession of Leenia. He was not able to find it but still seeks a way to enter the Tower of Acecerak.
Alexander asked if the Harpers still existed. The brain said there is a group of men who call themselves the Harpers, but do not follow the creed Alexander would expect.
At this point, everyone was shot, so I cut the Question and Answer short with the note that I will answer any questions emailed to me.
