Exploring the tower

Heading south, the party found a small lab that Morbius had used when visiting the tower. There was nothing of value except some glass vials, etc, which the party would come back for.
Moving toward the west, Rudy stopped at the door, noting the aroma of acidic fumes. Opening it, the party found the disposal room. Several acid vats were scattered around the room and had been used by Morbius to dispose of failed experiments and other unused body parts.
Alexander brought up the idea of using some of the vials in the previous room to collect acid and then use as projectiles. Utilizing Mage Hand, Kuppies was able to dip the vial in the acid without hurting himself. Unfortunately, as he decided to get samples from each of the vats, the second vat held more than acid. Once he disturbed the surface of the liquid, a Bloodrot ooze rose to the surface of this vat and the one next to it. These creatures were extremely difficult to destroy as once again, the tight spaces made maneuvering difficult.
Their blood tendrils constantly grabbed Ekeraath and after inflicting damage from the grab, held on with their Bloodsqueeze, further damaging him. Finally, their Taint kept recharging and inflicting further damage. If not for Leenia's Sacred Flame giving Ekeraath additional saving throws, he certainly would have been killed.
Heading across the large center room, with the staircase, the party entered a room that Morbius had used as his personal quarters. THere was little there, but a secret door was detected. Unfortunately, Rudy was unable to disarm the trap and instead sprung it. A little poison damage and a saving throw later, found Rudy in a small treasure room. Hanging on the wall, a cape, 2 amulets and a bag of holding with 2500 GP were all added to the party's inventory.
As the cape came out, Leenia's frustration with Rudy boiled over. She felt he was withholding treasure from the party, or always claiming the best items for himself. Everyone in the party was surprised by her reaction and a moderately heated discussion resulted.
