A Challenging Encounter

Unlocking another door with the color pattern puzzle, a terrible stench filled the nostrils of the party. Within the room, the stench emanated from a small pool. On either side of it, were 2 statues, and in front of it, a medium sized humanoid zombie(Wrathborn) who was flanked by a pair of Grave Hounds.
As combat began, the Wrathborn used it's Pinning Chains to immobilize much of the party. This was extremely effective at disrupting their tactics. Once the first hound was destroyed, the statues came to life, flying down from their perches. The battle continued and with the tide turning against the creatures, the Wrathborn recharged it's Pinning Chains and 2 Blood Sea Zombies rose up from the pool.
With many of the party once again immobilized, one of the blood sea zombies grabbed Alexander and dragged him into the pool. Thinking quickly, Kuppies cast a Thunderwave into the pool in the hopes of removing much of the liquid. Much to his surprise, the pool exploded hurtling Alexander and the Zombie out of it and against the rear wall. Once again, this turned the tide and with the destruction of the Wrathborn, the party was able to dispatch the remaining monsters.
In a truly interesting spin, one of the blood sea zombies grabbed Ekeraath who decided to use his pinning dagger and prevent the monster from dragging him into the pool.
Taking another one for the team, Alexander took a dive in the pool and came back with 2 IronSkin Belts, keeping one for himself.

I didn't have much of a visual of Kuppies' thunderwave while we were sitting at the table. But after reading Josh's description, I can see Alexander flying through the air with water splashing all around and it is hysterical!

A little belated, but I must say that was a pretty cool maneuver. If Cuppies hadn't landed that thunderwave, Alexander would be dead and I'd be rolling a new character right now.
