Stephen was able to return the party to their boat, just off the shore of his former mansion. He explained that once the curse was broken, the mansion was no longer frozen in time and crumbled to dust once time caught up with it.
Setting sail, the party intended to return to King Richard to see if they could be of service and begin exploring their personal quests. The second night at sea, the Sahuagin attacked and were after the platinum dragon egg.
As the first minion raced from the deck into the cabin, it spotted the chest with the egg and grabbed it. Following it into the cabin, a soldier hoped to escort it out. As they began to flee, Alexander was waiting in the door and cut the minion down. Seeing the opportunity to assist, Kuppies raced forward, grabbed the chest and made it into the cabin.
Realizing taking the egg by force would result in substantial loses, the Sahaugin used another tactic. They lit the boat on fire. First 2 small fires were started at the front of the boat, which the party ignored. The Sahuagin responded by upping the ante and lighting 4 more fires. The deck of the boat was lit by massive flames, with nothing but cold, dark water surrounding them.
Knowing time was running out, Kuppies stepped forward and offered the egg if the sahuagin would put the fires out. A brief negotiation resulted during which 4 of the fires were extinguished by them. During the negotiation, the vague location of where the sahuagin were taking the egg, to their Baron, was given. Finally, using Mage Hand, Kuppies passed the egg across deck, to the Sahuagin, and they fled, taking their prize with them.
This is how we finished last night.
I'm going to railroad a bit, sorry about that.
Taking inventory the next morning, the damage to the boat was substantial. As much as the party hated to wait to chase the sahuagin and retrieve the egg, the ship needed more repair than they could provide. The difficult decision was made to go to Trelib, the seat of King Richard, Rard's father.
While still at sea, the party was assisted by several other ships and when they finally arrived, there was a great celebration, the Saviors of the Citadel had returned! Richard formally greeted the party, at the dock, when they arrived and has invited all of you to stay at his castle.
Your first couple days in Trelib are exhausting as you are paraded around as heroes, invited to banquets, and get honors bestowed up you. As the excitement of your return begins to ebb, the business at hand, the retaking of the mainland, begins to take center stage. You are all involved and invited to all relevant meetings.
You are now all in town and while involved in war plans, we have 3 weeks to do some individual stuff around town either via email, phone, or in person. So if Leenia wants to preach or pray, Ekeraath, train or fight, Rudy, explore or steal, Mara, explore or research, Kuppies, research or learn, and Alexander, research or advise, let me know. I'm hoping we can keep some interest in the game going over the holiday. Feel free to team up, or go it alone.
Once again, thanks for the bag and book. I very much appreciate the fact you appreciate how much effort I put into this.

It's a bit late, but on behalf of all of us, we do appreciate all the work you've put into this, Josh. It's been really fun!
And if you ever feel like you need time off, I'm sure we could give you a month or more off by setting up some one-offs.
