Halfway to the bottom

After completing the first level, the party descended the stairs to the second level of the catacombs. Entering the first room on this level, 7 skeletons, one of them emitting an aura of fire, stepped out of their tombs and attacked the party. Once again, the excellent tactics of the party allowed them to defeat this enemy with minimal damage.

Further exploration of the floor yielded nothing of value except the fact that every tomb had been pillaged and the body removed.

I had another encounter planned for this floor, but decided to scrap it. It didn't add anything, other than more combat and I really wanted to get to the final battle of the catacombs. In retrospect, it was the correct decision.
