The first adventure...Part 4

Once combat concluded, the half the party went through the hallway on the balcony and the rest stayed on the ground. They quickly found a stairwell and everyone went upstairs. This led to another set of balconies.

This large chamber is obviously meant as a testament to the 8 races that settled the island. There are 4 alcoves along the side walls, each with a statue representing a different race(Human, Halfing, Dwarf, Dragonborn, Eladrin, Elf, Tiefling, Half-Elf). In the center of the chamber, a battle is concluding. There are kobold remains everywhere and 2 creatures in the center of the room finishing off the last of the kobolds.

The creatures are humanoid in shape, but are not like any race you’ve ever seen. They appear to be built rather than grown. They have also taken quiet a beating by the kobolds.

Lore/arcane check for Warforged(warforged are a race of magical constructs built for war and gifted with sentience)

The party spent a great deal of time trying to figure out what to do here. Would the warforged attack them if they approached? Should they just pelt the warforged from the balcony? In the end, the party braved an attempt to walk through the room and were rewarded without combat and proceeded to the last room they would visit that night.
