More Than Meets the Eye

Heading into the next room, three rectangular pools, each with a skull sitting in them, occupied the oddly shaped room. Behind each pool was a huge, headless, skeleton.

Expecting the skeletons to come to life, the heroes attempted to investigate them. Unfortunately, the initial threat was the skulls in the pools. As soon as a skeleton was touched, the skulls rose from their beds and attacked. Leenia used her standard undead opening, and hindered them from the start.

One went down fairly quickly and the party turned their attention to the other two. The next round, it floated back to the skeleton, took it's place on top of the shoulders, and returned to the fray, hammering away on the heroes.

It wasn't long before the heroes figured out that taking out each skeleton, one at a time, was the most effective way for them to defeat the enemies.
