Entering the Hatchery

Overflowing with information, the party boarded their ship and with Kuppies at the wheel, took flight in search of the cavern Zetch'r'r had described. The directions he had given them were spot on and they easily found the entrance. It was large enough for a dragon, so the ship was also able to enter.

Unfortunately, Kuppies and crew were not prepared for the myriad of twists, turns, and other obstacles within the cavern. Even with doing his best, and the guidance of others, Kuppies was unable to avoid several of the obstacles and everyone lost a healing surge as a result.

Finally, they made it to back of the cavern, where a small dock was setup. Two Duthka'gith guards were on guard duty and had ample time to prepare for the ship to dock. Once docked, Rudy sprung into action, leaping between the ship and dock and engaging one of the enemy. Likewise, Alexander followed, across the makeshift bridge. With the 2 guards engaged, the heroes were surprised when 2 more descended from the ceiling, landing on the boat, and immobilizing everyone. To further complicate matters, Ekeraath was pushed off the boat, barely grabbing onto the railing to prevent a 20+ foot fall to the cavern floor below.

With the heroes immobilized and Ekeraath hanging on for dear life, the Duthka'gith when on the offensive, dealing out substantial damage to the heroes. It took another turn or two for the heroes to turn the tide back in their favor and finally defeat the guards.
