Arriving in the Valley, Marovic, Snarla, and Obrak were waiting for the heroes, and they began the ritual to raise the tower. Fortunately, Snarla had researched it enough to get it started and soon the rings joined in, aiding the Wizards in their efforts. After the better part of a day, even Ekeraath could feel the flow of arcane energy into the valley and soon enough, a Granite Tower erupted from the ground and continued to climb. As it rose, the effort proved too much for Snarla, then Marovic, and finally Obrak all fell prey to exhaustion. Kuppies and Alexander completed the ritual and the heroes entered the tower.
Once inside, they were greeted by the illusion of an old male wizard. He warned them they would be tested. Their first test, was a room with a large circle in the middle. It was divided into 8 wedge shapes, each with a different number on it. Surrounding the circle, spears, all stood straight up. The goal was to get the spears, representing darts, to score 100 points.
Kuppies and Alexander quickly figured out the appropriate places to put the spears. Complicating the process were 3 devils that were guarding the room. On top of that, at the top of each round, each spear that had been placed on the board emitted a massive blast of lightening.
Quickly placing the spears, the heroes dispatched the devils and a staircase appeared, inviting them to the next level.
