Ambush!

Exiting the city of Moil, the party headed for the Tower of Acererak. About an hour out from the city, they noticed a large group of undead leaving the city, probably in pursuit.

Enduring the icy grip of death permeating the Shadowfell, they pushed on, eventually coming to a maze of ravines that they would have to navigate to make it to the tower. Heading down several different paths, it became evident to them that they were being herded to a certain location. Sure enough, an exceptionally narrow location presented itself and while passing through, they were ambushed from above.

A small rock slide split the party and both sides had their hands full. With creatures raining down unholy rays from on top of the ravine, the party didn't think it could get worse until a blaspheme entomber dragged Leenia below the surface and possessed her.

Rudy and Kuppies managed to quickly defeat the creatures on their side as Ekeraath flew to the top of the ravine and engaged the artillery that was up there. Once that happened, the creatures didn't last much longer and the party was victorious.
