The Murderer Revealed!

Taking the lead for what it was worth, the party headed for the cave. Easily finding it, there was little they could see from outside as the entrance

quickly turned and opened into a large chamber. A raised section ran around the outside, with a pair of staircases along the left and right walls, heading

down to a lower section. Across the room, there was another raised area with a single staircase leading up to it.

Milling about the room, numerous Blasphemes, corpses stiched together and animated, quickly went on the offensive. In the center of the room stood Mara.

She looked ok, but there was something not right about her. As combat began, she raced over to a table, kicked it over to provide cover, and released a

barrage of arrows at the party.

With Rudy moving off to try to get to Mara, and Kuppies phase stepping down to the lower level, Ekeraath and Alexander were completely surprised when Leenia

attacked them from behind with a Grave Blast and then teleported to the far side of the room. Her following turn, she unleashed a ball of chain lightening

that damaged almost everyone.

An epic battle that saw both Mara and Leenia fall, and Kuppies and Rudy almost die, quickly ensued. Ill prepared for the domination of Leenia by Morbius and

still wheeling from the loss of Mara, the heroes did their best to regroup and destroy this menace.

In the end, Kuppies' stinking cloud forced Leenia off the far the cliff and onto the battlefield where she engaged in direct combat with Rudy. Kuppies then

redirected the cloud to take Mara out while Alexander and Ekeraath disposed of the blasphemes.

The combat between Leenia and Rudy was truly something to witness, with eat of them going on the offensive and dealing massive amounts of damage to each

other. In what was probably one of the most difficult fights either had been in, Rudy managed to prevail, by the thinnest of margins. Then, in the ultimate

of ironies, he kicked the rod that had been possessing her away and bound Leenia's wounds, hoping she could be saved.

As the battle continued, Mara was the next to fall as the stinking cloud took it's toll on her. And once again, Rudy rose to the occasion and rendered first

aid to save her. With that, the remaining Blasphemes were quickly mopped up.
