Coming down the path, the party arrived outside the ruins of a once great city. All that was left were the ruins of a huge temple to Pelor and the grounds in front where people would come to meditate and hear the words of their religious leaders. Now it was occupied by another beautiful woman and a full size, adult, green dragon!
Knowing there was no way they could hope to converse with the dragon, they charged in and combat begin. They quickly flanked and killed the beautiful woman and then went to work on the dragon.
Never having fought an adult dragon, outside, before, the part was ill prepared for multiple breath weapon attacks, flight, with a poisonous bite attack, difficult terrain, tail slaps, and fear.
As combat dragged on, the party delivered some damaging blows, but the dragon responded in like. With both sides hurt and bloodied, Kuppies reached into his bag of tricks and put the dragon to sleep, allowing the rest of the heroes to dispatch him without fear.
Arundel arrived shortly after the slaying of the dragon. Looking at the woman, he waved his hand over her face and she reverted to a much more hideous form, that of a Bog Hag. Looking at the party he said, “I always suspected there was more to them.”
"With their deaths, the forest is free from their destructive ways. I thank you and all of the creatures of this woodland thank you as well. You are welcome to stay and rest here as long as you need. You will not be interrupted by any woodland creature. The Worldfall you wait for will come soon. I suggest camping by the sundial as the shift typically is centered there." With that, he wanders back into the woods.
