Tomb of an Ancient Hero

Completing their descent, the party was attacked by a blade spider. Behind it, they saw several other spiders that phased farther back into the chamber.

Able to focus their attacks, the party quickly dispatched the first and second spiders, while Leenia stood watch outside.

Moving forward, 4 stairs, flanked by flaming cauldrons, rose to a slightly higher level. Unknown to the party, the steps were trapped launching a burst of flames when anyone stepped on them.

The spiders, seemingly aware of the trap, held back, waiting for the party to approach. Finally, Kuppies phased over and ended up stepping on an ancient rune, engraved on the floor. This was also trapped and stunned him with a massive electrical charge. Failing his save, things looked grim for him as the spiders advanced and he was defenseless. His screams to Leenia for help were enough to drag her down the stairs and assist the party.

Taking a calculated risk, Alexander stepped up and helped retrieve Kuppies from certain death. At the same time, Rudy disarmed the flame trap, allowing safe passage to the upper level.

Racing up the stairs, and avoiding the rune covered floor tiles, the party was able to kill the remaining spiders.

Stepping up to the sarcophagus, the artifacts that the Green Knight had used so effectively in his time, faded into existence, for the party to use in their conquest against the darkness.

As they departed the tomb, the howl of another lycanthrope was heard near the encampment. Many, many more howls answered the first...it was time to go.
