Proceeding through the room with the zombies and wraiths, the party entered a large room that was littered with bones. In many locations, the bones were knee deep and extremely difficult terrain.
With Rudy creeping through the room, a Charnel Cinderhouse exploded up from the bone pile, a massive blaze extending around it, engulfing Rudy and all those that would come close to it.
Ignoring the fiery aura, Ekeraath and Alexander waded into melee and with the help of the rest of the party, the Charnel Cinderhouse was quickly extinguished.
In the rear of the room, a large glass cylinder, 4 feet tall and 2 feet in diameter was found. A large crack in it had resulted in much of the liquid inside to seep out. Kuppies was able to surmise: "One of the more disturbing necromantic rituals can be used to preserve the brain of a being who sought to escape death. Through ritual magic and complicated alchemical processes, the brain is kept alive, retaining all the memories and mental faculties of its former host. The creature usually has some malevolent goal that could not be achieved in life, which drove the brain’s former host to take desperate measures to achieve longevity. The fluid in an undamaged cylinder is believed to be a powerful magical reagent."
Taking a sample, Rudy continued to explore the room. Much to everyone's surprise, he found a small trapdoor located under the bone pile. Opening it and descending into the small room, another, unbroken, unfilled cylinder was found.
