As the mist cleared, the party, feeling fully rested and restored, found themselves before a squat grey tower. Stretching out in all directions is an endless dull grey landscape.
Entering the tower, the party found themselves in an extremely long hallway, certainly longer than the tower appeared from the outside. The hallway was 10 feet wide, with a chest located halfway down and a lever by the opposite door.
Advancing to the chest, Rudy did his thing, detecting a trap. Ekeraath, assuming the lever had something to do with it, went to the far door, and Mara went halfway. Rudy felt the trap would only go off if the chest was removed. So he opened it. As he did so, everyone heard a loud click and the floor became uneven. To be specific, the floor turned into a giant tee-totter with the chest being the center spot.
Unfortunately for Ekeraath, he was at the far end and the floor dropped 15+ feet. At the bottom, he was deposited into a water filled stone coffin. As he fell, the trap was sprung and the small stick holding the coffin open was knocked away and Ekeraath was entombed. Mara, also fell and landed on top of the coffin. Thinking quickly, both Rudy and Alexander tied ropes to the chest and descended down to the closed coffin. Using the ropes, Mara was able to ascend and remove her weight from the lid.
Ekeraath failed his first attempt to remove the lid but Rudy was able to begin hammering a piton into the lid in an attempt to break it. Alexander added to the hammering while Kuppies and Mara added additional damage. On his second attempt Ekeraath was able to lift the lid and escape.
Returning the bridge to the neutral position, the party was eventually able to completely cross.
